Welcome to publishing thyself online! Getting published commercially has become more and more difficult, with publishers operating under global economic and industry pressures and of course the ever looming limited budget for front list titles.

Local publishers are able to publish only about 5% of unsolicited manuscripts – this is not their fault, but a basic principle of the book industry. The concept of online-publishing in the South African author-realm is new and often daunting.

To self-publish is empowering but also requires your capital investment, but not if you opt for the online process. Now what does all of this mean? Crink provides you with an easy-to-follow publishing wizard that is divided into each step of the traditional publishing process.

In this wizard you are the power-player, making decisions on design, format, cost and final product. The only thing we can’t do for you (yet ?) is online editing – checking those sneaky spelling errors will remain the late-night responsibility of Bill Gates (i.e MS Word).

Download our publishing guidelines for details on brewing up the perfect manuscript for online publishing and check out Jessica’s recommendations for first time visitors.
